| COURSE OBJECTIVE: |
- Understand the responsibilities of all key crew positions; emphasizing what is taken upon yourself when youagree to fill a certain position on a film, specifically the role of Producer and Unit Production Manager
- Understand the pre-production/planning stage of a film, or everything that must be done before you should go into production on a film project;
- Effectively break down, schedule, and budget a script and who should be involved; where and how to save money and where to spend it;
- Problem solve;
- Grants, scholarships, funds available, student discounts, etc.;
- Understand the basics of pitching a story idea;
