Help Wanted: Scout Camp Film Instruction

March 11, 2014 in Help Wanted

I am looking for someone to help this summer at the camp that I run for the Boy Scouts of America.  It is about an hour South East from Utah County.  It is up Spanish Fork Canyon.  We are an aquatics base so we have a full water program, meaning we teach Boating, water skiing, kayaking, Sailing, Rowing, canoeing, etc.  We also throughout the summer teach shooting sports, outdoor skills and art of different kinds.

Not only would we need you to teach the ins and outs of filming in a manner that youth would understand, but also to do a bit of it yourself.  We would like to utilize more of Social Media (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Etc.)  So as the summer progresses, as part of the job we would need video clips done in a professional manner to use in advertising and promotion of our camp.  Video clips would include activities at camp involving the youth and staff, an array of action oriented filming involving our water program and other clips specific to the camp.

The Internship would run from June 1 – August 2, 2014.  You would have a small weekly pay, as well as room and board covered through the summer.  You would need to stay at camp through the week.  Hours being from Sunday evening through Saturday morning each week.  So the hours are long.  The experience of Summer Camp is worth it, if nothing else!
