BYU Media Services is the Studio Production Department of BYU Continuing Education. BYU Media Services (https://mediaproduction.byu.edu) is looking to hire a student employee in our video production area. We currently produce videos for BYU Online Courses, BYU Online High School, BYU Continuing Education (EFY, FSY, Women’s Conference, Education Week, etc.) BYU Alumni, BYU McKay School, and offer our services to all other entities and departments on campus.

This job vacancy is a 15-20 hr/week student position and the incumbent will report directly to the Media Manager. Media Services is looking for someone with experience behind the camera. This could be any camera, as long as you understand aperture, ISO, shutter speeds, composition, pulling focus, and numerous other basic camera operations.

As a full production studio, the applicant (After employed) will have the opportunity to gain experience with the following cameras: Arri Alexa Mini, Sony Venice, Sony FS Mark II, Black Magic Ursa Mini Pros and numerous DSLRs, drones, and action cams.

In addition to being a camera operator, applicant will be expected to learn about lighting, set design, scripting, casting and other aspects of film production. There will also be an expectation to complete post production edits for products applicant will shoot.
